All three modules in one place. Module 1: The Core Basics In this first module, you’ll get to know your embroidery machine inside and out, understanding what our machines capabilities are. We demystify needles and threads so you understand why different types matter and when to use them, and take a dive deep into stabilisers — one of the biggest areas of confusion for beginners. You’ll also master hooping techniques, learning how to hoop properly (and when to try alternative methods) so your projects start off right every time. Module 2: Designs This module focuses on everything to do with embroidery designs. You’ll learn what different embroidery file formats are and why they matter for your machine. We’ll explore where to buy quality designs and how to download, organise and transfer them to your machine with confidence. You’ll also be introduced to the basics of digitising and embroidery software - with options if digitising isn’t for you - and finish with best practices for testing designs using the right fabrics, threads and stabilisers. Module 3: Techniques & Troubleshooting Module 3 brings everything together from Modules 1 and 2, helping you confidently choose the right combination of stabilisers, fabrics, threads, needles, hooping and designs for each project. You’ll learn essential machine embroidery terminology using my easy-to-follow embroidery dictionary, then stitch out six popular techniques including appliqué, reverse appliqué, embroidery on fleece, knockdown stitches, freestanding lace and in-the-hoop designs. We’ll also tackle common embroidery problems so you know what went wrong - and how to fix it - before finishing with the basics of machine maintenance to keep your embroidery machine running smoothly.
